The Punjab Society of British Isles celebrated its annual Diwali Dinner with flair and spectacle.

Over 250 guests attended the event. The Guest of Honour was the Deputy High Commissioner of India, Mr. Karthik Pande and the special guest was Mr. Jack Ranking MP for Windsor.

President Dr. Pradeep Anand welcomed everyone and thanked the committee for their hard work, especially the ladies. He further emphasised the message of the Lord Rama of upholding family honour at every cost.

Mr John Athwal was in charge of the raffle, which aimed to raise funds for motor neurone disease, and successfully raised over £5000.

The Deputy High Commissioner, Mr Kartik Pande spoke about the importance of Diwali and paid tribute to the hardworking Punjabi community.

Mr. Jack Ranking also praised the Indian community and the free trade agreement between the UK and India, which promises to benefit both nations.

Lord Ranger highlighted the Punjabi contribution, including Bangra dance, beautiful dresses, and mouthwatering cuisine.

Mrs Vijay Raleigh presented the vote of thanks and introduced the talented dance girls who kept guests spellbound.

The delicious food was prepared by Ragasan.
